‘Precious Threads’ is a series of jewellery objects which incorporate found and sourced linen threads and spools on sterling silver and copper.
Through juxtaposition and combinations of materials I aim to encourage the viewer to perceive value in discarded and forgotten objects, once precious to our people and economy.
These intimate and wearable works are to remind us of our rich precious textile heritage and encourage a conversation of its importance once more.
